CAMERA OPTIONS - EXTERNAL CAM
Solar Cam is now a Division of Hidden Camera Surveillance.  Please note we have a range of security cameras for different requirements.  Our External Cam range are much smaller in size compared to Solar Cam pictured above but available with the same features and functions. External Cam is available in colour or B/W versions with or without invisible IR for night vision.  The same security cameras are available with a variety of fixed or vary focal lenses ranging from 3.3mm wide angle to 16mm telephoto. 
Hidden Camera Surveillance also supplies optional vandal proof steel housings & brackets to accommodate External Cam and being much smaller in size, this camera can be more easily hidden or placed in areas less likely to be seen.
External Cam is available with inbuilt or external solar panel from 4.5W to 20W.  The choice of solar panel depends on how often the camera is likely to be triggered by motion, whether it utilises the inbuilt or external motion sensor to trigger recording and so on. 
We recommend you contact us before ordering so we can recommend the right camera and accessories for you as this will play a role in overall cost.  External Cam is cheaper than Solar Cam despite having the same features and functions. Solar Cam is already supplied with the larger External Solar panel and larger telephoto lens as standard whereas those items are optional with External Cam.

Pictured below is the External Cam Vandal proof housing which is lockable and can be made available in various colour choices or paint it yourself.

CAMERA MOUNTING & INSTALLATION
In terms of camera mounting, we can supply and install alloy poles from 1 to 3m or higher and with prices starting from $300.00 installed depending on location.  A mounting pole is only necessary if there are no other options as the camera can be basically mounted on any building or structure of you choice (even a tree) so the option is available

How Does it work?
Similar technology is used on main roads where power is either not available and/or cabling is out of the question.  So what are the fundamental differences between Solar Cam and others. WIRELESS TO WEB DASHBOARD
The ‘Wireless To Web’ (WTW) proprietary network is a fast, secure and reliable means of sending images from wireless cameras to the end user’s PC, mobile phone, monitoring station, or Dashboard as well call it.  A small monthly fee applies for this service and fees will be determined according to the amount of data required but starting from about $50.00 per month. 

The WTW Dashboard enables images to be displayed in real time from multiple cameras on a reference map. The coordinates of the camera are entered initially, and the WTW server automatically displays the relevant map as a background. Each camera can be highlighted using the mouse and when selected, opens an image viewer to display real time or historical images in rapid succession.
