Quick Overview

You must have a camcorder to record into. Your camcorder must have AV inputs.

Works on both digital (round DV plug)
and non-digital (RCA plugs) camcorders

The Helmet Camera is a high tech, mini
waterproof, colour camera that mounts to your helmet, bike,
etc., and records both audio and video on your camcorder
worn in a bumbag, backpack or a bike compartment.

Note: Your camcorder must have a video
input or VTR (video tape recording) capability. This means
that if you can record from the TV onto your camcorder,
then your camcorder is compatible. This feature is found
on many popular brands and on most Sony models.

How does
the Helmet Camera kit work??

  • The Helmet-Cam must connect to a camcorder
    with "AV inputs".

  • AV Inputs allow a camcorder to act like
a VCR and record incoming AV signals.

  • Everything your Helmet-Cam picks up,
both audio & video, will be sent to the camcorder.

  • You will carry the camcorder on you,
in a waist pack or backpack.

  • Connections are RCA which most people
would be familiar with and come standard in every kit.

  • The helmet camera kit is fitted to
the rider's body, usually fed through the clothing and
connected to the camcorder. Some road riders install
the system completely on the bike ie: camcorder tucked
    beneath the rear bike seat.

  • Simply press record and 'GO'.

  • If you are unsure about your camcorders
features, contact this office and we will endeavour
to assist you. Remember, even if your camcorder does
not have an AV Input, we
do have a wide range of bike brackets available so you
can still record all the action. Click
