The miniature UHF Transmitter and microphone built into this everyday Pen is simply remarkable. The transmitter can be armed and disarmed by simply pressing a button on top of the Spy Pen. In order to use this device it is important to ensure you have our UHF Receiver unit which is ideally matched with this Spy Pen and all of our UHF covert devices. The UHF Spy Pen can be ordered with a special UHF Channel A B or C.
The UHF Receiver also has 3 channels - A B & C so it's therefore possible to use up to 3 UHF wireless devices all in the one area. Each device will be quite independent from the other. The UHF transmissions will not interfere with other similar UHF devices unlike cheaper 2.4 GHz wireless devices which can be grossly affected by common wireless transmissions. UHF is clear and crisp. It is not affected by other common transmissions such as mobile phones, wireless modems etc. UHF is brilliant even in built up areas. The fewer obstacles between the transmitter and receiver the better. in this regard, in non built up areas, clear transmissions can be from several hundred metres to 2ks.
In a built up area one can expect at least 50-100m or more of clean transmission. The UHF Spy Pen accepts mini alkaline batteries with a 40-50 hours life span. With higher quality lithium-Ion batteries the transmission operating duration could be up to 5 times longer.
The receiver is also supplied with an output so its possible to listen in and recording simultaneously.
